Central Environmental Laboratory

Established in 1964 CEL offers a broad range of chemical, mircobiological and mechanical testing services as well as providing trade waste monitoring.

Our modern facility is divided into four laboratories for Chemistry, Microbiology, Civil Engineering and Trade Waste.

Chemistry and Microbiology offer testing services to a broad spectrum of clients from corporate through to home owners wishing to ensure the quality of their drinking water. Both laboratories are accredited to IANZ ISO17025, Ministry of Health and LAS.

Civil Engineering specialise in testing for such things as stop banks, aggregate, roading, pavements.

Trade Waste manages aspects connected with commercial and business waste, for instance grease trap monitoring, hazardous waste, and spillages.
