Certificates Of Compliance

If you think that your proposal meets all the rules in the relevant section of the District Plan for your activity or proposal, you can apply for a Certificate of Compliance.

This is a legal document that states from the Palmerston North City Council that your proposal meets the requirements of the District Plan. 

Please contact the Duty Planner if you need help determining what rules will apply.

You will need to provide with your application:

• Completed application form
• Full details of the site and a description of the activity that you wish to operate from the site
• Full site plan showing the location of the activity and the associated buildings, boundaries, car parking etc
• A deposit fee of $225 (based on current charges)

The statutory timeframe for processing a Certificate of Compliance is 20 working days.
