Refurbishment of the Te Manawa Museum Building
Expressions of Interest are invited by the Palmerston North City Council (PNCC) from suitably capable and experienced building contractors for the above project.
The Te Manawa Museum building is to undergo a refurbishment to improve it’s workspaces as well as accommodate the New Zealand Rugby Museum on the Te Manawa site.
The project will cover an approximate area of 1355m2 involving demolition, alterations and refurbishment of the existing ground floor galleries, storerooms, public counter and shop and first floor galleries, new lift and new toilets and also upgrades to electrical, data, heating and ventilation and fire safety systems.
The implementation of this project is subject to confirmation of external funding in November 2009.
PNCC intends to invite tenders for this redevelopment work from shortlisted experienced building contractors, immediately after funding confirmation.
Prospective tenderers are required to register their interest not later than 4pm on Thursday 22nd October, 2009 and addressed to: rob.cuff@pncc.govt.nz
