"It is great to be recognised with local government for the work we do. We have been on this journey for four years so the awards last night were well deserved," says Business Manager for Contact Services, Peter Roberts.
"Having the evening hosted in Palmerston North was a great opportunity to have all team leaders there which made the night a great success."
A total of 36 Councils and one hundred delegates attended the awards ceremony sponsored by Vodafone.
There were 27 entries across all six categories which recognise and celebrate best practice in Customer Service amongst New Zealand local authorities.
General Manager of Customer Services Peter Eathorne says it reflects the high calibre of the service and staff involved.
"It's a credit in terms of the hard work and professionalism of the team to achieve such a high standard of performance. ALGIM have clearly recognised this based on the number of awards that the team won tonight."
The Awards promote the image of Local Government customer service through the wider community which has been running since 2008.
They aim to encourage Local Government staff to be service focused, to be innovative, to develop skills and to be recognised in supporting their organisation and community of interest.
