Manawatu Branch of the New Zealand Camellia Society
Camellia enthusiasts with a love of gardens in general and an enjoyment of friendship and camellias in particular.
Branches may hold meetings and arrange field days, local garden
visits ( most of these gardens are not open to the public), talks,
propagation demos, shows, dinners etc. all with a strong friendship
Displays and/or local shows are held during the camellia
flowering season. Gardeners, even those who have little, or no
experience in the growing of camellias, are welcome at any of the
Each Branch has its own local committee which arranges the

Highlights are often when Branch visits are exchanged, or
perhaps a bus trip away for the weekend. Visitors are always
