Two mobility scooters will now make visiting the Kelvin Grove Cemetery and Crematorium easier for some visitors.

Free mobility scooters are available from the cemetery office between 9am and 3pm on weekdays.

The easy to operate and battery-powered scooters located at the cemetery office allow those with mobility issues an opportunity to explore most sections of the cemetery.

“The mobility scooters will allow visitors to travel through the cemetery with ease and independence,” says Council community engagement manager, Ian Littleworth. “It's nice to know that people who haven’t been able to visit the cemetery due to mobility issues will now have the option to.”

An office administrator located at the cemetery from 9am to 3pm on weekdays will assist those wanting to use a scooter. Bookings are not required and there is no cost.

Please note: The cemetery office closes for the holidays on 23 December and reopens on 4 January.
