Committee meetings

Find out what Council and committee meetings are coming up, what's on the agenda, and how you can get involved.

With the exception of the Council meeting, hearings Committee meetings and commissioner hearings, 30 minutes is set aside at the start of committee meetings for comments from the public on matters specified on the committee's agenda or, if time permits, on other matters relating to that committee. For extraordinary committee meetings, public comment is only received with the approval of the chairperson and must be confined to agenda items.

Council and committees may receive deputations following approval from the chairperson. To make a deputation to a committee or full Council meeting, you need to lodge an application with the chief executive at least seven working days beforehand. In cases of urgency or major public interest, the chairperson may choose to waive this timeframe. Please state the subject you wish to talk about in your application.
