The Domestic Energy Strategy was adopted in 2011 to encourage warmer, healthier homes and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Energy is a major household cost. If houses are more energy efficient they will use less energy. This will reduce household costs, make homes warmer and healthier, and reduce greenhouse gases. To encourage this, the Council offers advice and financial incentives to help ratepayers make energy efficient home alterations.
