Online payments

You can pay online for parking tickets, dog registration, rates and other Council services.

Online credit and debit card payments will incur a surcharge of 1.3% per transaction to cover our reasonable costs in providing this service. The surcharge is calculated before you submit payment and is included in the total transaction amount.

Other invoices include:

  • Bonds
  • Building consents
  • Resource consents
  • Burial and cremation fees
  • Liquor licences
  • Premises registration
  • Key accounts and sundry billing

Online payments currently exclude Resource Management Act, Building Act and noise infringements, and library fines. These payment types will be available online at a later date.

Recurring invoices like rental payments and leased carparks cannot be paid online by credit card.

To pay by internet banking or cheque, follow the instructions on your invoice.
