Google Search Engine Cookie

Our search engine (Google Custom Search) uses temporary cookies (files that a website transfers to your computer).  They do not collect any personal data and are deleted when you close your browser.

GeoGuide Application Cookie

The GeoGuide application (accessed via the PNCC website) uses cookies. We do not define the length of time the cookie remains on the User's PC, this is set by the application itself (ESRI GIS).

The GeoGuide application is available through the website to any user whose PC is set up to allow cookies.  Turning cookies off in this application is not possible because they are part of the purchased GIS application suite.

The cookies used by the GeoGuide application remain on the end user's PC.  We do not store any information related to the user or to their visit to GeoGuide here at PNCC. The reason there is no loss of functionality on the website when turning cookies off is because they are only used in the GeoGuide application, not on the actual website.
