walks. Victoria Esplanade Gardens on Fitzherbert Avenue is a
'must see'. The 19 hectares of gardens feature spectacular
plant displays, an international rose trial garden, aviaries, a

children's playground, paddling pool, an education centre, a café
and free electric barbecues.
The Turitea campus of Massey University in Palmerston North is
also worth a visit to see the stunning gardens and to take a stroll
