My goal is to provide customers with a great experience by seeking to understand their needs, giving them options and ensuring any follow up is timely and relevant.Peter Eathorne
At times we are unable to meet the needs of the individual, particularly in a regulatory context, however as long as my team has done everything possible to assist customers and ensure they feel that we are concerned and interested in helping them in a friendly and timely manner, then I believe we have achieved the best possible result.
Customer Services is responsible for the delivery of Regulatory and Customer Services on behalf of Council (Building, Planning, Bylaws, Liquor Licensing, Animal Control, Parking Enforcement, Environmental Health, and Customer Services).
The key focus of Customer Services is to ensure the requirements of key Central Government legislation such as the Building Act, Resource Management Act, Dog Control Act, Health Act and most Council Bylaws are complied with and to ensure that effective Call Centre and Customer Services are provided to residents and ratepayers.
I have worked at the Council since 2000 - It is amazing how quickly time has passed. I am proud to be part of an organisation that has so many caring and innovative staff who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of everyone in our community. Palmy has so much to offer to those who live here and to visitors. It is, I believe, Aotearoa's best kept secret. Palmy is the place to be!"
