I am the human resources manager of the City Council.

Whereas others can feel justifiably proud of physical achievements around the City, in Human Resources our goal is to improve organisational performance through developing staff to reach their potential.

Our climate surveys have reported that the most important thing that makes the Council a great place to work is the people that we work with.  This, along with being able to serve our community and making a difference are the reasons I enjoy my job.

As a Manager, I get the most satisfaction out of assisting in the development of my staff, in particular people who are just starting their career.  They have so many new ideas and knowledge that we can all learn from.

I believe Manawatū is a wonderful place to live.  It has all the retail advantages of a metropolitan city whilst still maintaining the social aspects of a rural town.
