Anzac Day Civic Service

Anzac Day on 25 April is an integral event in our city’s annual calendar. This national day of remembrance commemorates all New Zealanders killed in war and honours returned servicemen and women.

This service will start at 9am. Registrations for community groups to parade and lay a wreath are now closed.

Please ensure you’ve had breakfast and some water before attending the service to prevent fainting. Feel free to bring a foldout chair to sit on as seating will be limited.

Parking will be available in and around Te Marae o Hine – The Square.

Service personnel and veterans will parade at both the dawn and civic services.
