Next date: Wednesday, 06 July 2022 | 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM

If you’re interested in becoming a candidate in the upcoming Palmerston North City Council election, make sure you come along to one of these information sessions.

Nominations to stand as a councillor or mayor for Palmerston North City Council open on Friday 15 July and close at 12pm on Friday 12 August. So if you’re passionate about your community and want to help shape Palmy’s future, now is your chance!

We’ll cover what it’s like to be a councillor or the mayor and explain a bit more about the City Council’s role. The Electoral Officer will also be available and will cover everything one needs to know about standing, the election process, and the dos and don’ts of campaigning. These are also set out in the Candidate Information Handbook(PDF, 2MB).

If you’re thinking of rolling your sleeves up and standing for council, don’t miss this event.
