Drop-in session: Featherston Street safety upgrades

We want you to have your say on how we could make Featherston Street safer between North Street and Vogel Street for pedestrians and cyclists.

With additional funding from Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport as part of its 'Transport Choices', we will continue the installation of cycling and pedestrian improvements between North and Vogel Streets.

This new Transport Choices funding from Waka Kotahi is specifically focused on the cycleway and pedestrian improvements to help make it easier and safer for people to use Featherston Street, and to help reduce carbon emissions.

This is a good time to tell us what is important for you on the street and whether you have any concerns about safety. Do you feel safe walking along our footpaths, biking on the existing cycleway or navigating the street in your vehicle? How could your experience be improved?

After getting your feedback, we will start working what we can into our design. We will likely show you our proposed design from late-July to get your final comments.
