All finalists will need to agree to these terms and conditions.
- I grant Palmerston North City Council and its agents (PNCC), the right to use the photo image/s supplied by me as entry into the competition (the Product) in any format, now known or later developed. I grant, without limitation, the right to edit, mix or duplicate and use or re-use the Product in whole or in parts as PNCC may elect. Should the Product win the category, PNCC shall have complete ownership of the Product, including copyright interests.
- I grant PNCC the right to broadcast, exhibit, market and otherwise distribute the Product, in whole or in parts, and alone or with other products, for any purpose PNCC determine. This grant includes the right to use Product for publishing, promoting or publicising.
- I confirm that I have the rights in the Product to submit an entry into the competition and am not restricted by commitments to third parties, and that no copyright has been breached in obtaining the images or any subsequent use in accordance with these terms and conditions.
- PNCC has no financial commitment or obligations to me as a result of this Agreement. I have no rights to the Product, and no further claim for any reason against PNCC.
- In consideration of all the above, I hereby acknowledge receipt of reasonable and fair consideration from PNCC. I have read, understand and agree to all of the above and that the rights granted to PNCC herein are perpetual and worldwide.
- If you intend on submitting drone shots, you will need to upload proof the landowner has given you permission to fly your drone on their property and you will need to upload your flight log with air share.
- If the Product includes identifiable individuals, you confirm by submitting your entry that those individuals have willingly consented to their image being photographed and used, and there are no privacy issues in relation to any publication of the Product.
- By entering the competition, you accept that the winning images may be used by Palmerston North City Council and other Palmerston North organisations for marketing material. The photographer will be credited where possible.
- Entries will only be accepted digitally.
- Entries cannot be manipulated in any way with compositing, airbrushing, removing or substituting from the original image.
- You are allowed to make adjustments to the colour and exposure, but judges will not reward you for extra filters and effects.
- We are not responsible for the loss of any file data.
