Annual Budget 2020-21 open for submissions

Notice is given that the Palmerston North City Council has adopted its proposed Annual Budget consultation document for 2020-21. Council is now accepting submissions until Monday 20 April 2020 at 4pm.

The Annual Budget details what the Council proposes to do to implement year three of the 10 Year Plan and includes financial statements and details of rates proposed for the 2020-21 financial year.

The consultation document highlights the main differences from what was originally proposed in the 10 Year Plan and provides information about the proposed levels of rates.

Copies of the document and other more detailed supporting information are now available at:

During the government imposed Level 4 Coronavirus restrictions, written submissions cannot be hand delivered to Council facilities. Posted submissions are not able to be processed easily during this time, or at all. If you are unable to make an online or email submission, we invite you to ring our Customer Service Centre to make a telephone submission.

An opportunity will also be provided for submitters to present their views in person to a meeting of Councillors.
