Tremaine Ave reseal

Tremaine Avenue is one of the busiest streets in Palmerston North. With so many people using it each day, we need it to make sure it’s as safe as possible, and in the best condition for all road users.

Resealing a road in another part of the city.

With so many cars and big trucks using the route, parts of the street are starting to show wear, so we need to do some resealing to ensure it stays safe.

We’re currently finalising designs and locations and will then start talking to affected residents and businesses. The construction period may be a few months long, but the road will still be useable.

We’ll be timing construction so it doesn’t adversely affect businesses, and a full traffic management plan will be in place to minimise disruptions.

Timeframe

  • Confirm locations: mid-late 2019
  • Construction: late 2019-early 2020.

Cost

We will be applying for funding from NZTA for this project.
