Caccia Birch House

Caccia Birch House is an historic wedding and conference venue, set amongst landscaped grounds with sweeping views over Hokowhitu Lagoon.

The house is used for events of all sizes. You can hire the whole house for a wedding, a single room for a meeting, or the top or bottom floor for a function.

Located on three acres just 2km from the central city, Caccia Birch House is the perfect backdrop for events calling for old world charm and a tranquil, country atmosphere.

The property has had a rich and varied life, built in 1895 for Norwegian saw-miller Jacob Nannestad and his family and later used as private residences, army barracks and university rooms, before coming into Council ownership. The property is owned by Council and administered by the Caccia Birch Trust Board.
