“Massey University having two specialist subjects ranking in the top 25 out of 1,130 international universities is an excellent result and we congratulate them on this result,” says Heather Shotter, Palmerston North City Council’s Chief Executive.
“The Manawatū campus attracts a large number of international researchers, staff and students and these rankings reinforce they are delivering a high level of excellence and will continue to attract both domestic and international students to our city.”
The QS rankings are an annual publication which ranks subjects based on academic reputation, research citations and impact, and employer reputation. They gather responses from more than 170,000 academics and 158,000 employers.
“We fully support and acknowledge the value Massey University adds to our city. As a Council we are focused on ensuring those who choose to study, or work at the Manawatū Massey University campus can also enjoy an enviable quality of life.”
