Age Concern New Zealand Manawatū Outreach

Age Concern provides services, information, and advocacy in response to local needs. If you have concerns about an older person, or you would like some information or support, please call.

Alzheimer’s Society Manawatū

Local Alzheimers organisations are here to support you and services are starting to return to normal. This includes support groups, day programmes and other activities. Many organisations will also continue to offer services online.

We are always looking at different ways we can help you access the support you need, in a way that works for you. Reach out to your local organisation and talk to them about what's available.

To access dementia support please call 0800 004 001. Call 111 in the event of an emergency. If you are not sure if it is an emergency but you are still worried, call 111 and ask for the operator. They will help you work out what to do.

If it is a medical issue and you need advice, call Healthline on 0800 611 116.

EASIE Living

585 Main Street, Palmerston North

A service of Enable New Zealand, EASIE Living provides information, advice and support on disability and independent living issues. The friendly team can connect you with a range of support services, as well as advise you on mobility and daily living aids that can help you maintain your independence.

Support Links Manawatū

Based at Mid Central DHB, Palmerston North

Support services for older people including support for long-term disability, over-65s with chronic and mental health conditions, and a short-term service for personal care. It accepts referrals from GPs, hospital and social workers.
