Keeping All Workers Safe

A one-day symposium for workplace health and safe representatives, managers, health and safety practitioners and union delegates.

About the symposium

Palmerston North City Council and Unions Manawatū have collaborated for more than 10 years to mark Workers' Memorial Day – to enable our community to reflect on the terrible toll of workplace deaths, illnesses and injuries, and to undertake initiatives to make the workplace safer.

This year we are joined by WorkSafe, MPower and MidCentral DHB to present this one-day symposium, gathering together those working or volunteering in health and safety in the Manawatū region to learn about and share the importance of these roles, and to celebrate the work being done.

  • When: Wednesday 28 April, 8am to 3pm
  • Where: Conference & Function Centre, 354 Main Street, Palmerston North

At lunchtime participants are invited to attend the Workers' Memorial Day event at Memorial Park. This event is open to the public and will consist of short speeches, prayer and song.
