- Europe: Czech Republic and Denmark
- Oceania: New Zealand and Australia

The Americas U-18 qualifier found its four medal game teams with Canada and Mexico battling for the gold medal, and Argentina and host Guatemala fighting for bronze.
Tony Giles, CEO Softball NZ says the event gives people an opportunity to support and watch an international softball competition in a central regional location.
“We’ll have international supporters attending, as well as softball fans from throughout New Zealand. There’ll be a fan zone with refreshments and food, with options on tiered seating or laying out a rug for relaxing viewing. We’re really keen for people to attend to enjoy the atmosphere of international competition and to encourage and support the players who will all be pushing themselves to perform at their peak.”
Tickets now on sale
Tickets for the nine-day tournament are now on sale and the Local Organising Committee has provided a range of ticket options from $15 up to $200 for a nine-day tournament pass.
Sacha Haskell, General Manager for Events at Palmerston North City Council and Director of the Local Organising Committee says Palmerston North is keen to encourage families and softball followers to attend this world class event at the city’s Colquhoun Park.
“Fans can experience the thrill and determination of young talented athletes wanting to take the win home to their country and be named world champions while enjoying an upgraded fantastic family-friendly facility.”
New and upgraded infrastructure such as lighting and dugouts are being put in place at the park that will allow games to be played during the day and evening.
