Plant in our region

Monday June 10 2019

Join in one of the community planting days happening around the region this winter and enter Horizons Regional Council's photo competition. You could win a plant-related prize to the value of $1,500.

All you need to do to enter is post a photo on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, tag Horizons, the location, and use #plantinourregion.

Linklater Reserve shade and feature tree planting

Wednesday 12 June, 11.30am to 12.30pm

Planting with the Eco Warriors from the Roslyn Primary School and some members of the Kelvin Grove Community Association and Fitzherbert Lions Club. Its’s a small planting – 35 trees – so will not take long.

Meet at the barbecue/picnic shelter. We'll provide a sausage and refreshments afterwards.

Bring: robust footwear, gardening gloves if desired, clothing suitable for the weather conditions.

Ahimate Reserve community planting

Saturday 15 June, 10am to 1pm

A larger planting and general community event based around the new car parking and dog park area.

We'll provide a sausage sizzle and music.

Bring: Robust footwear, gardening gloves if desired, clothing suitable for the weather conditions.

Green Corridors planting

Sunday 23 June, 10am to 1pm

All welcome at this annual planting day in Lower Titoki Reserve (end of Vaucluse Heights). We aim to plant 2,000 native trees.

Refreshments sponsored by Ricoh will be provided.
