Palmerston North City Council is calling for applications for the next round of Strategic Priority Grants Scheme funding, open until 1 November.

The Strategic Priority Grants provide multi-year funding for community-led projects, activities or services that contribute to Council’s strategic direction, which are well-led, sustainable and responsive to community needs and aspirations.

The total funding available is $1.4million per year for three years, to give a degree of certainty for the community and voluntary sector. Successful applicants will receive funding from 1 July 2022.

Council’s Acting Community Development Manager, Stephanie Velvin, says Council has partnered with 43 organisations in the current 2019-2022 funding round to improve outcomes for our city.

“We want to fund community organisations whose activities directly contribute to Council’s vision, He iti rā, he iti pounamu: Small city benefits, big city ambition.”

Applications are open to not-for-profit and social enterprise organisations based in Palmerston North, whose service, project or activity will primarily target Palmerston North residents.

We’re hosting drop-in sessions in multiple locations to assist with applications.
