The Jaycee Trust helped to fund Anne-Sophie Page's travel to the US for this year's North America Leadership Tour. She's pictured here with fellow delegates.

Applications are now open for the 2019 Jaycee Trust Travelling Fellowship.

The scheme aims to help recipients study or engage in a special overseas project that will contribute to their community or industry back home.

In 2018, Philip Mecredy travelled to England as part of his PhD studies.

“I spent a few months with Professor Philip Stern at the University of Exeter, analysing doctors’ prescription behaviour,” says Philip.

“I learnt new analysis skills, experienced a new environment, and extended my professional network.”

Anne-Sophie Page recently attended the 2019 North America Leadership Tour to pursue her interests in climate change and international relations.

“The time I spent at the United Nations and Harvard University opened my eyes to the pace of change,” reports Anne-Sophie.

“Returning home, I’m more determined than ever.”

Applications are open to under-40s looking to undertake specialised study or a project overseas. A full list of application criteria is available on the Palmerston North City Council website.

*Total grant fund is $10,000.
