We’ve received an application from Flygers Investment Group Ltd to rezone land at 611 Rangitikei Line. The land is on the left-hand side of Rangitikei Line as you drive out of Palmy, towards Sanson and before Flygers Line.
This would change 13 hectares from rural zone to residential, and 10 hectares from rural zone to recreation zone. The land would then be developed as a residential area.
The land is partially within the District Plan flood prone overlay. Earthworks will need to be carried out to reshape the land so less land is prone to flooding and can be redeveloped as residential land.
The land is near the existing residential zone land on Meadowbrook Drive and Benmore Avenue.
Due to an error on the initial notification of the Whiskey Creek plan change several interest groups were not notified.
Consequently, we are sending those interest groups a notification letter and extending the submission period from Thursday 28 October until 4pm on Tuesday 9 November.
The extended submission period will apply to all parties wanting to make a submission.
