Read economic reports for Palmerston North / Manawatū region.

Economic reporting for the region includes the six-monthly Regional Economic Report for Manawatū–Whanganui, Core Cities analysis, and Long-term Projections for Palmerston North (updated every two to three years).

Manawatū region covers the area of Palmerston North City and Manawatū District, which had an estimated population of 117,600 people in June 2017, annual employment of 57,400 jobs in February 2017 and total annual earnings (salaries, wages and self-employment income) of $3,158 million in the year to March 2016.

We also produce monthly and quarterly economic updates for the Manawatū region, which are distributed by the Central Economic Development Agency, CEDA. You can read these reports on the CEDA website.
