Pay your rates by direct debit

Choosing to pay your rates by direct debit means you can manage your bill by spreading your payments more frequently across the year. Pay weekly, fortnightly, quarterly or monthly – it's up to you.

To get started, complete our simple online form.

The benefits of paying your rates by direct debit

  • No card fee
  • No forgetting to pay
  • No standing in queues
  • No large cash payments
  • Choose your payment frequency

How does it work?

When you submit a direct debit authority to us, you'll receive a letter confirming your bank account details, start date and payment frequency. Your rates will be automatically paid out of your bank account.

You keep full control over your method of payment and can change the frequency or cancel your direct debit arrangement at any time.

Any changes to your rates will be adjusted automatically – you don't have to visit the bank to make a change.

If you sell your property and buy a new one, you'll need to fill in a new direct debit application form.

To apply, fill in and submit our online direct debit authority

Please note, if your bank account requires two or more authorisers, you'll need to print out and complete the Easy Pay application form instead. Return it by post or email: info@pncc.govt.nz
