Ride to your heart's content on the epic mountain bike trails in Arapuke Forest Park.

Arapuke Forest Park is a great place to ride your mountain bike. Walkers are welcome too!

Mountain biking

Thanks to Manawatū Mountain Bike Club, Arapuke Forest Park is fast becoming one of the best places in New Zealand to ride your mountain bike. Over the past five years club members have developed more than 30km of cross country and downhill tracks in a growing network of Grade 2 to Grade 6 mountain bike trails and forestry roads.

Take a look at the Arapuke Trails website for detailed info about individual trails and current trail building projects.

The park has more than 30km of trails, from family-friendly grades two and three to technical and jumps tracks for riders looking for the ultimate challenge.

Arapuke Forest Park is popular with walkers. The national Te Araroa Trail runs along the shared track called Backtrack and the various former logging roads create a loop back to the car park with great views out to the Manawatū plains.
