River Link Pathway

This route links the two shared pathways along the Mangaone Stream and the Manawatū River, completing the city circuit. It trails through both residential and industrial zones and at times, various parks and drainage reserves. As with other city walkways this has many access points and various loop routes are possible.

John F Kennedy Drive - Ruamahanga Wilderness Reserve = 7.9 kilometres

Contour:  Mainly flat with some moderate slopes

Surface:  Grass, limestone, asphalt

Access Points:  Many along route as links in with
roading network. Milson Line - Paradise Place - Railway Road - Tweed Street via Edwards Pit Park - Featherston Street - Norton Park - Hulme Street Reserve - Clyde Crescent Reserve - Keith Street - Limbrick Street - Ruamahanga Crescent

  • Ensure dogs are under control at all times and do not disturb livestock where walkways pass through rural areas.
  • Please pick up your dog waste and put it in a rubbish bin or take it away with you.
