As a result of recent changes to the Resource Management Act 1991 the Council is able to consider applications for boundary activities and for marginal/temporary breaches and exempt them from needing resource consent. The changes also enable an applicant or consent holder to request objections for certain decisions being considered by an independent commissioner.
The new fees and charges will cover the cost of processing applications and/or reviewing decisions using commissioners.
New charges from 1 January 2018
- Boundary activities (under section 87BA of the Resource Management Act 1991) – a fixed fee and deposit of $270
- Marginal/temporary breaches (under section 87BB of the Resource Management Act 1991) – a fixed fee and deposit of $270
- Hearing commissioners appointed at the request of applicants (under section 357AB of the Resource Management Act 1991) – charge at cost plus disbursements of the independent commissioner
Council adopted the new fees at its meeting on Thursday 21 December.
