Sometimes dogs go walkabout. As animal lovers, we know that's a scary prospect. Our animal management team respond to all reports of roaming dogs so they may have picked up your dog to keep it safe. It's always a good idea to get in touch with us to check.
If your dog is microchipped and registered and your contact details are up to date, we'll be able to reunite you quickly. If we can't, your dog may be taken to the pound.

If you find your dog on the register, please call us on the number above, and our customer team will advise you what to do next.
Please note, you'll have to pay the pound fees before you visit the pound to pick up your dog. We will only release your dog once we've confirmed it's registered and all fees are paid, and we can't accept payment at the pound.
The pound is located at 115 Tōtara Road, off Maxwells Line in Palmerston North. It is open on Monday to Friday only, for three-and-a-half hours a day:
