Council's vision for Palmerston North is for it to be a place that offers small city benefits with big city ambition.

City strategy and strategic plans

Your wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, and our Oranga Papaioea City Strategy is at the heart of all Council's strategic plans.

Council set this strategic direction with the adoption of the Long-Term Plan 2024-34 – our roadmap for the city for the next 10 years.

We use city dashboards to track our progress on each of the strategic goals, so you can see how we're progressing on achieving our city vision.
