Ashhurst residents can go back to using your water as usual. A big thank you for your patience and efforts to conserve water while we repaired the burst water main. You might notice some discoloured water tomorrow. If you do, please run your cold tap for up to 20 minutes. If it still doesn't run clear, give us a call.
Our team have repaired the leak and restored the drinking water supply. Linton, a huge thanks for your patience and understanding while we got this sorted.
Palmerston North's rescue emergency support team (REST) is one of 18 nationally accredited volunteer crews in the country. Whether helping during extreme weather, civil defence emergencies or search and rescue, the Palmy REST team is there, ready and able to lend a hand.
The team is run by Palmerston North City Council. It provides support to emergency services across the Manawatū region, as well as other locations in New Zealand when requested. In 2023 the team has supported Auckland during its floods, and Hawke's Bay and Palmy with the response to Cyclone Gabrielle.
