Festival of Cultures

This 3-day iconic event is all about celebrating the diversity in our community through the sharing of cultural cuisine, art, song, dance, rhythm, games and more.

It will commence with a lantern parade on 23 February, followed by a World Food, Craft & Music Fair on Saturday 24th February, and Teas and Coffees of the World on Sunday 25 February.

Lantern Parade

Te Marae o Hine - The Square will light up on Friday 23rd February as we celebrate the Festival of Cultures' Lantern parade. 

There will be live music and food, a lantern making workshop, and plenty of activities for the kids.

Come along to this iconic event and celebrate the diversity in our community through the sharing of art, culture and food.

World Food, Craft and Music Fair

Teas and Coffees of the World

Come and experience the culture and traditions of some of the iconic teas and coffees from different parts of the world.

You’ll be able to sample a taste of these hot and cold beverages, from Samoa to Kenya and over to Brazil – these refreshments hail from all over the globe!
