The Palmerston North City Council is proposing to make parts of Linklater Reserve on-leash for dogs, and welcomes submissions on this change. You can make a submission on the proposal until 4pm 28 July 2025.
The Council is proposing to make the area of the reserve from the carpark on Kelvin Grove Road up to the aeroplane, a dogs on-leash area. The rest of the reserve from the aeroplane back, and through to the Roberts Line carpark, would stay as an off-leash dog exercise area. Dogs would still not be allowed on any of the children’s play spaces.
