Acting Chief Executive

That the Council appoints, under section 42 (1) of the Local Government Act, David Wright to the position of acting chief executive for a fixed term commencing 1 June 2017 until such time as the new chief executive commences employment.
That the Acting Chief Executive be delegated all functions, powers and duties of the Council that are delegated to the chief executive.
That the Council delegates authority to the Mayor to negotiate and conclude an employment agreement including remuneration for the period of employment.
