Speed Management Plan 2026

This Speed Management Plan was adopted by the Council on 22 April 2026 and certified by NZTA on 28 May 2026.

The Plan creates the following speed limits:

• 30km/h variable speed limits for all schools within the Palmerston North District
• A 60 km/h variable speed limit (intersection speed zone) at the intersection of Longburn-Rongotea Road/Number 1 Line
• A 50km/h permanent speed limit for Te Wanaka Road”
