Say hello to Claire, our events expert who’s swapped France for Palmerston North.
Claire moved to Aotearoa in mid-2024 after building a 10-year career in France. From banks to extreme sports and rural community centres, she’s always been drawn to bringing people together.
She joined our Venues team in January 2025 and quickly became known for rolling up her sleeves – building stages at the Arena and in The Square, transforming spaces from dinners to conferences to basketball games (sometimes all in the same week!).
Now stepping into a team leader role, Claire is excited to get back to what she loves most – planning events and bringing creative ideas to life.
“Throughout my career I loved when we got to plan events – it was always the fun part of my job. Coming to New Zealand, I knew that’s the path I wanted to follow.”
She has loved her time in Palmerston North so far, but still misses a few favourites from home (especially French cheese and buckwheat pancakes).
