Transfer liability for a parking ticket

To have a parking ticket or other vehicle infringement transferred to another person, you'll need to provide a statutory declaration, supporting evidence, and details of the infringement.

How to apply

Step 1.Fill out the statutory declaration

Fill out the stationary vehicle statutory declaration with information explaining why you are not liable for this infringement. For example:

  • your car was stolen
  • you recently sold your car
  • your business owns the car but someone else was driving it (eg, rental car, courtesy car).

Before you sign the form and add the date and place, you need to find an authorised witness.

Step 2.Get the statutory declaration witnessed

Only certain people can be an authorised witness. These include:

Step 4.Submit your application

Appeal your ticket online and upload your statutory declaration and supporting evidence. Each file must be less than 3MB.
