Appeal a parking ticket online
We’ll only review tickets for specific reasons. You’ll need to provide evidence to support your request.
We’ll respond within 20 working days.
Before you apply
Make sure you:
- apply within 28 days
- choose a valid reason (see below)
- include clear supporting evidence.
If you don’t meet these requirements, we may not be able to review your ticket.
Reasons we can consider
You need to show why the ticket should not have been issued.
You paid for parking
You may still get a ticket if:
- you entered the wrong bay number
- your payment didn’t link correctly.
Provide proof of payment, such as:
- a meter receipt
- a bank statement
- a Frogparking app screenshot
- your council parking permit details.
You forgot to display a mobility permit
Provide proof that you hold a current mobility permit.
The parking meter was faulty
You can use any working meter on the street.
We may waive your ticket if we can confirm the fault. Provide:
- a photo or video of the faulty meter
- a job number if you reported it.
Your vehicle broke down
Provide dated proof, such as:
- a mechanic’s report
- a towing receipt.
There was a medical emergency
Provide dated evidence, such as:
- a doctor’s letter
- a visit or payment record.
Your WoF or registration has expired
If your vehicle is overdue, this is how we handle it:
- Less than 7 days overdue
You’ll receive a warning only.
- 7 days to 1 month overdue
You’ll get a $200 ticket. We may waive it if you become compliant within 28 days.
- More than 1 month overdue
You’ll get a $200 ticket. This cannot be waived.
To request a waiver, provide:
- a photo of your new WoF or registration, or
- a receipt showing payment.

What happens after you apply
We’ll review your appeal and email or write to you with a decision.
If your appeal is declined
