Trade waste fees and charges

Here are the fees we charge for trade waste, including fixed and variable charges for conditional and consented trade waste discharges.

All fees and charges include GST. Effective 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.

Administrative charges (fixed)

Trade waste: Permitted tanker consent	$140 per year	Charge to recover cost of processing new or renewed applications for permitted tanker customers
Trade waste: Controlled consent	$700 per application	Charge to recover cost of processing new or renewed applications for controlled customers with discharges over 5m³ a day
Trade waste: Conditional consent	$1,820	Charge to recover cost of processing new or renewed applications for conditional customers
Compliance monitoring: Sampling	$270 per sampling and analysis	Fee to recover cost of inspecting and monitoring trade premises
Compliance monitoring: Administration	$225 per hour	Fee to recover cost of administration from monitoring and analysing monthly sample results
Reinspection fee	$225 per inspection	Fee to recover cost of reinspecting individual trade premises
