Candidate statement

Councils today face rising costs, constrained funding, and complex water reforms - challenges that demand strong, practical leadership and collaboration. I bring over 20 years' experience, a positive outlook, and a reasoned voice, working hard for you, your family, and our city's future.

It's a privilege to serve. As Chair of the Strategy & Finance Committee, I've led targeted investment in core infrastructure and improved recreational spaces for our active community, while maintaining sound financial discipline. I'm proud to have helped return international softball to Colquhoun Park through my Softball NZ board role, boosting local pride, our economy, and our city's profile.

I also work with Homes for People to create meaningful pathways into homeownership and, alongside my wife, support vulnerable residents through transitional housing.

Let's build a safe, connected, future-focused Palmerston North, one that grows jobs, supports business, and delivers fairly for every generation.
