Following the severe weather this week, our teams have been working to clear fallen trees across the city. Parks have now been made safe, and clean-up efforts will resume on Monday.

My principal place of residence is in the Te Hirawanui General Ward area.
I stand for a back to basics approach. Council must refocus on core services; fixing roads, maintaining infrastructure, keeping our city clean and safe and delivering value for money. Ratepayers deserve better. I am committed to cutting waste and ensuring your money is spent wisely to avoid large rates increases. Council has been distracted by nice-to-haves while essential services suffer. Anti-car ideology has led to parking issues and failures like the Featherston Street redevelopment. Palmerston North is a provincial city. We need practical roading and parking solutions that support local people and businesses. As a local businessman and financial adviser, I bring real-world experience, independence and a focus on accountability and results. It is time for PNCC to operate more efficiently, responsibly and with common sense. Please see my Facebook page for further information. I can also be emailed at fitzgerald.hbr@gmail.com.
