Candidate statement

Serving you as a City Councillor over the past two terms has been a privilege.

I came to Palmerston North 19 years ago as a refugee from war-torn Congo. Palmerston North gave me a fresh start and nurtured me to thrive.

Building on the progress achieved, we need to make critical investments into housing, infrastructure, and protecting our environment. We also need to build on our status as an education, and regional economic hub; make more land available for homes; support local businesses; and improve our roading and water networks in ways that offer sustainable value to current and future generations of ratepayers.

Grounded in my Christian faith, civic leadership, and a deep love for our city, I offer a positive attitude, proven experience, practical insight into Council processes, and diversity of thought.

A #1 vote for me will keep a passionate, practical, and future-focused voice at the Council table.
