Candidate statement

The council team should be diverse, inclusive, and professional in all areas. I stand for sensible spending, transparency, and simple financial reporting. No compromise on core services while maintaining control over non-essentials, and for rates to increase in line with the inflation rate. I will demand clear and accurate reporting and help in improving the system, delving deeply into financial matters to ensure accountability.

I am an accounting professional with training from a Big Four firm and memberships in top accounting bodies. I bring over 35 years of experience in financial and project reporting and budgeting, having led teams on large infrastructure and facility management.

With over two decades of experience in social work and having served more than 25 community groups, my work has focused on supporting diverse populations. These include groups dedicated to the disabled, environmental conservation, adult education, ex-prisoners, religious groups, beneficiaries, and refugees.
