My name is Michael Strachan, and I’m standing for council to bring compassionate leadership, community focus, and real listening to the table. I’ve walked through my own personal journey and know what it’s like to feel unheard. That’s why I’m passionate about building a council that values people first - where decisions reflect the real needs of our community.

I believe in fairness, faith, and action. I want to advocate for better mental health support, affordable living, and stronger local services - especially for those who are struggling or feel left out of the conversation. I’m here for everyday people - not politics as usual.

With a background in teaching, support work, and men’s wellbeing workshops, I offer not just experience, but empathy. I’ll bring a voice of hope, reason, and kindness to council - one that listens and leads with heart.
