Candidate statement

First elected in 2022 I'm an open-minded Councillor who does my homework, asks hard questions, and doesn't muck around. From stormwater investment, to cutting red tape for community gardens, to calling out dodgy process, I've worked to focus our Council on building strength and stability for our city in the face of significant change. A former analyst, legal secretary and community administrator, I actively seek your views with open ears and an open mind as I work towards: Transport infrastructure built to last; Stormwater and climate action plans for the city; A stable local economy; Intentional, careful spending; Connected and supported communities; A liveable city for all.

With rising costs, global disruption and continual change, we can't afford to be reactionary - we need a plan. For a representative who's practical, positive, and committed to looking after what we've got - vote #1 Kaydee Zabelin.
